Endurance Training Simplified
Beginners and Heavier Athletes: Remove the perceived complexity to Triathlon or Marathon
Coaching Philosophy
Simplicity, Consistancy and Hard Work
The Clydesdale is known as a "Work Horse." Most people imagine them pulling giant carts of Budweiser, which is quite a work load to pull. In racing, it's known as a heavier athlete. Whether you are a newcomer to the sport, a heavier athlete or both, there is simply no substitute to putting in the work. I believe that by meeting an athlete where they are physically, we can develop a plan that will help them exceed their goals and shock some people along the way.

For beginner/intermediate triathletes and marathon runners, the work towards finishing the race, or a PR, all begins with a balanced and effective plan. I work with each athlete to tailor a plan based on your life. If, for example, you want to finish an Ironman and can only devote 8hrs a week total to training at the peak, we will make that work. This is about finding balance and joy in the process of improving ourselves and reaching our goals. Exceeding your goals happens through consistency, open dialog and of course, hard work.
“Progress is not achieved by luck or accident, but by working on yourself daily.”

About Me
Fitness is a journey that should be simple and fun!
I have always been a slightly heavier guy. I really started to enjoy running when I was around 265lbs, and used it as a way to lose some weight and control packing on more. I have been running marathons and competing in Ironman and Ironman 70.3 races for the past 12yrs. As a bigger guy, it's a journey I never thought I'd go on, but I am grateful to have had the opportunity to take. As both a beginner athlete early on and a heavier athlete all along, I have found a joy in doing something that most people believe is reserved for the visually fit and lean. My goal, is to help light the path for other athletes in these categories, so they may achieve their goals. I take a simplified approach towards getting athletes to these goals and remove the unnecessary complexity you find in most training plans and coaching. My plans and style are structured, but extremely flexible. As a husband and father of three in the Twin Cities, I put extra emphasis on finding a balance between training and life. After all, this is an athletic goal that should accentuate your life, not consume it.
